Avril Lavigne
17 year old Singer/songwriter Avril Lavigne has come a long way. From just another skater girl, she went to teen idol. But don’t be mistaken, she’s not the next Britney Spears. On the contrary, she writes all her own songs and plays electric guitar. Her album, “Let’s Go”, show us that Avril is influenced by multiple styles. Her album features catchy pop-songs like “Complicated”, punk/rock songs like “Sk8ter Boi” and ballads like “I’m with you” and “too much to ask”.

Canada's New Obsession

There have been many music acts to come out of Canada and make it big and there is one more act hoping to have the same success. Did you ever think that you would be able to find an act that could sing, write and play instruments? Well these girls can! Angels Obsession is a new act from Toronto, Canada that has really made a name for themselves online and in their area. Angel McPherson (18), and Ashley Sutherland (17) make up the singing and songwriting duo that have different musical influences but one goal, to make it big.

Naomi Carmack
The song “Be My Baby” (small sample above) has given Ms. Naomi Carmack a fan base since she recorded it for a price of $200 when she was at the tender age of twelve. When Naomi was fifteen she entered the song into a local Top 40 Radio Station, Power 92.5 FM. They were holding a contest called the powermix. They were accepting demos from the local Canadian artists. When the results came back she had won third over the entire contest. Naomi won a cash prize of $2000 and her song was to be put on a compilation CD which was released in local record stores. The proceeds were to go to AIDS Research.

What is a star? One word, Nundhia! Who is she, you may ask. Well, only the hottest new singer out of Sacramento. Where have you been? She has lit up stages and arenas all over the U.S. and she doesn't plan to stop there. This 17 year-old singer/songwriter has won many over with her powerful voice and sexy-chic style. It's no wonder that people love her. But all of this talent didn't just pop up over night. It took years of training and dedication to get her where she is today. It was her family that persuaded her to develop her musical skills. And develop she did! She took on talent contests, sporting events and state fairs. It's not a hard thing to do when you have such great musical inspirations like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Connie Francis

Soluna
"Out Of This World!"

Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira and Christina Aguilera, what do all of these entertainers have in common? They are Latin pop stars. And it's time for them to move over because Soluna is coming to take over their territory! Christina "T" Lopez, America Olivio, Jessica Castellanos, and Aurora Rodriguez make up the Latin pop group Soluna (a combination of the Spanish words for sun and moon). These four talented and beautiful ladies are here to show off their talents to the world and prove that it takes more than a pretty face and good choreography to make it in showbiz. Their debut album, " For All Time" was released on May 14th, which includes songs in both English and Spanish to give you a taste of how versatile this album is. With ballads like the title track "For All Time" and "Luna Mia" and dance songs like "Monday Mi Amor" this album is sure to be a hit. The album has wide variety of songs that everyone can enjoy. "The heart of our record is pop, flavored with different spices, such as Latin and R&B," said Olivio.
